our key staff
with over 50 years combined experience in accountancy, office administration and waste management
We currently accept waste from
Network Rail via two of their first tier contractors
(JSS rail & SSE), from a Local Authority Housing
Association (Trivallis) and from a number of local
Civil Engineering and Construction Companies. Our
permit (EAWML100399) allows us to accept a number of
hazardous waste types including asbestos. We also
collect non licenced asbestos waste via our sister
company Llettyshenkin Construction - who hold a
hazardous waste carriers licence, and who's operatives
are asbestos awareness trained. Asbestos waste is
stored in sealed skips at our site prior to being
transported to deep landfill by our trading partner
Acumen.
We segregate general waste as it
arrives. Clean wood is re-used on site as a fuel in
our biomass heater (Woodwaste Technology's WT15) to
heat our main warehouse area; green wood waste (mainly
from garden clearances) is chipped and used as a
garden mulch around our 3 acre site. Other waste
streams, including metal, paint & mattresses, are
sent to external specialists (SL Recycling, Paint 360
& Greensteel) to be recycled.
* NEW FOR 2019 - with the aid of
a local government grant we have purchased an
industrial paper shredder, and can now offer
confidential document shredding.
The operation of the transfer
station is carried out strictly in line with all
current legislation. Consignment notes or duty of care
notes are completed for all waste entering or leaving
the site as instructed by Natural Resources Wales
(formerly The Environment Agency) who regularly visit
and inspect the site.
